I missed my goal with just 1 gram of making a quadrotor platform that weighs less than 100 grams. My microquads’ weight ended up to exactly 100 grams! I’ve really tried to make it as lightweight as possible without spending to much time on small details.

I like the new platform and the CNC-routed body looks neat – don’t you think?

I’ll be away on a trip next week but I’m really looking forward to get back so I can try it out! If the new quad works fine I’ll of course take pictures and make a video of the first flight!

The first version of my Miniquad weight 131 grams which was a lot more than I expected. I had to make a new lighter one and here it is.

The goal is <100 grams. I’ve CNC-routed the frame out of styrofoam and strenghten it with carbon fibre strips. I’ve also reduce the radius with 2 cm to 14 cm.
